Meaning what reptiles dont need live crickets, mealworms, etc.

Im going to the white plains , ny expo on april 18th and my mom is allowing me to get an animal or two with a few conditions. No snakes and no live food. I dont blaim her on the no live food since our closest pet shop is 1 hr away. I can get reptiles that will eat vegetables or dead food.

Heres what I know I can get: Iguanas, Crested Geckos, Gargoyle Geckos, Uromastx, Blue Tongue Skink, Tortoises, Turtles, Maybe bearded dragons.

Are there any more that fit the criteria? If they will eat those cans of crickets etc i could manage that.

Any types of tegus, smaller monitors?

I could feed the occasional live food like a pink mouse or crickets every once and a while but thats it.

Iguanas, geckos, and turtles have vastly different requirements. Besides food...post size, care, time, etc requirements you have.

Once you get a herp on dead food/vegies don't think you want to give it live food may not take the prior food.

All I am asking is for what kinds of animals will take vegetables or dead food. Did I name them all or are there more? I will research the animal that I like, just put any that will fit the criteria.

I currently own two turtles and a crestie.

If you can provide for an Igg I always thought it would be cool to have a big one. On the other hand BTS have been on my list for a long long time. You don't really want to rely on those can crickets for a staple diet they dont have any nutrition so beardy is really outta the question.

K, I know im picking up a blue-tongue skink. Already bought a 4 by 2 enclosure for him/her. Is it true that these guys dont need uvb or should I get it?

I may do that tortoise idea I had but thats going to take up a lot of room.

I will post general requirements: Cant be to big, like a iguana but I could house things bigger than a blue-tongue skink. I will be in college in a year and a half but the college is close by, could easily come up during the weekend to care for. My mom is willing to take care of feeding during the week, etc. Price of the animal has to be around 250 or less. Willing to buy anything to make it suitable.

There are a few tortoises that stay small research them. Russian, herman's, and a few others I think. It is a wide debate about the UVB for skinks.... I mean better safe then sorry though. I would provide it. And if not atleast make sure it gets calcium and some outside time when possible.
