Hello Fellows,

Currently I have a BB tank for a month or so now, I am sick of tired seeing poop every where every day. I don't know how other people can stand their tank with waste in the tank that you can see. Don't get me wrong, I like BB tank but I want to try some thing new.

So I want to see other people other there thier subtraste with Datnoids or oddballs. Sand or gravel?

Please post your pictures here. I was thinking going with sand, but tempting to go with gravel.

i have sand, imp its alot easier to clean. if you dont like seeing all the poop get a darker colored sand b/c i can see it all the time on my pool filter sand but it comes right off when i clean.

IME darker sand works better for shy dats, it seems it encourages them to come out and play since it doesnt reflect as much light.

Yea that make sense..because light subtraste reflect from the light and it them hid more.

i havent really noticed a difference with any other fish that i kept. w/ dats, at least the ones ive kept, there was always a noticeable difference when exposed to darker substrate. a darker/dimmer environment altogether seems to help dats who are shy.

have anyone mixed natural gravel with sand before? wonder how it look like.

heres mine on tahitian moon sand
