I think a lot of people neglected to post due to posts like -> https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/rays-12-tips-for-prospective-owners-by-burpz.2402/ <- existing - that said, a 300 is a decent enough size for smaller rays (or ray), but I'd not go for a large group as that won't give 'em much space to steer clear of each other if they want to. You'll want that space, since stingray aggression is a real to deal with.
