Ok, so recently I adopted a large female red eared slider who has been laying infertile eggs for a while from what the guy who gave her to me said. Lately(past 2-3 days) she has been acting weirder then normal and swimming against the sides of my indoor pond alot more, and occasionally getting out on the the land area of the enclosure which is a 1'X6' going around the first bit of the pond and filled with sand, so I'm assuming shes carrying eggs to lay. She hasn't layed them yet and I'm wondering if they usually wait a while to lay them or if shes being picky and wants say dirt over sand? or what?
