I just went out to the pond, and the water is so cold, it HURTS to put my hand in. So, I bring my 2 RES inside. Neither turtle has ever showed interest in eating fish, in fact, they live with a bunch of 4-5'' comet goldfish, which will hang out in front of the RES's face.

My question is, would an 8-9'' and 5'' be ok for a little while in with

14'' ornate bichir
14'' clown knife
14'' spotted gar
17'' spotted gar
2 12'' red bay snook
10'' JD
11'' common plec

It usually depends on how much room your fish have to escape if the turtles decide they want to end the friendship early. :D

Well, they're doing well, SO FAR..
Anyone think they'd be better off with a
7'' pacu
13''pacu
6'' RD
9'' BP
12'' RTC
and a 5'' SD

RTCs can easily eat turtles and digest their remains. If the plastron/carapace are too large to digest fully, these parts are regurgitated after all the softer parts and smaller bones have been digested.

BTW, most 5 and 6 inch fish are also at risk when there's a foot long RTC in the tank.

Yeah.. The turt's are just until things warm up, and ther'es no possible way the RTC can eat the sliders.

yeah, i need to remove the 5''SD, but at the moment he's too tall to fit in the rtc's mouth.
same with the RD :D
