So I ordered 100 more pounds of texas holey rock and added to my existing. I didn't even use all my pieces but here is the before and after, it is still cloudy from me stiring up my sand. Oh and my girlfriend actually did all the work...she always likes to help me with my fish stuff but in the end she does it all because she is very independent and well just likes to do it all lol which is fine by me :D also I didn't clean the algae off the old rock so its mixed in with the new lol as you can see

this is what the tank looked like

these next pics are my gf forming different rock formations to see what we liked (what she liked lol)

heres some pics of her putting the new rock in

heres the after pics, sorry for cloudyness due to sand stir up

oh and my cat was laying like this near the tank so I just had to include him, this is 1 of 5 of my cats

Looks great...I'm not overly crazy about the decorated background, but that just my opinion. Mind me asking how much you paid for the holey rock?

I may go with a black background. I have paid around 300-400$ for all my rock. the shipping is what killed me

Trick I learned was to use water based acrylic paint from craft store...cost me 15-20 bucks for 4 bottle of paint and one of their cheap rollers. 3 or 4 coats, an hour in between each coats, thick first layer going in a horizontal direction, second coat you go perpendicular to first coat, 3rd coat perpendicular to second coat, etc. etc.

Looks good on my 55 gal, I just need better rocks for my jakes to swim around.
