Im bored of my tank scape and want you guys to design my new rescape. I think it wil be fun to have you guys tell me where to place everything. Shortly I will post pix of my df, plants(fake because of Severums and Uaru) and rocks. Im tearing it all down as soon as im done typing and I will post pix. Tank is a standard 6" 180gal. So here I go..... Since rocks will be to difficult to have suggestions on we will keep it to just drift wood

All the drift wood is 25-28 inches tall/long. starting left to right first piece being #1 and so on. The small piece in the canter is a drift wood cave. or give me suggestions on lets say make a clump of wood on one side and have open on the left, or clump in the center etc...

Kind of hard to have people on the internet design your tank for you. Just do what comes natural and post up pics. It'll be easier for members to determine what they think might work "better"

Personally, I've always liked big pieces of driftwood with a slight arch so it can act as a "cave" as well. So the only DW you have that I can see myself working with are the 2 pieces on the left...the 2 in the middle, I would have no use for it, but using those along with the ones on the left to create a DW pile off center and have the branches kind of creeping out the side towards the middle of the tank. That's all I got unless I see an initial set up.

Thats exactly what I did. I combined all of them for an off to the right abit pile. I know its hard, I wasnt looking for "hey put this right here, only general placement at best I guess. I rescape my tank almost weekly unless I get a configuration I really like. I was looking for a little of what something had a say in. Ya know something new with a touch of others creativity.

if it were me i'd make the driftwood into a number of spires across the back of the tank if you don't have large energetic fish.

I'd pile it up in the center with a few plastic plants on each side of the dw. Sometimes less is better. Get some black sand or gravel and take away background. This way the fish will feel secure and stay out in the open more with plenty of open room for schooling fish if you have any.

I want to do that but I need to get more dw ready from my pile. Its to cold here for me to boil it in my drum. Thats next on my list of rescaping when we get some good weather.

I have severums, an Uaru and red head tapajos and some other randoms with pfs. I painted my bak ground black so im stuck with that. The fish are always out and front and center. I have had them since 1"+/- so they are use to my rescaping and cleanings. I made a pile off center with a few plants and river rock on each side lol. Im just waiting for the billions of tiny bubbles to disapate and ill post a couple pix
