Hey guys, I decided to rescape the tank yesterday and Im still on the fence about whether I like it better or not. I needed to make a bigger cave for my Jack Dempsey and so far its working so Im pretty happy. The filters are an AC 110, an AC 70 and an AC 30 power head. The hood/lighting is custom and about 100 watts. I do 30-50% water changes once or twice a week. I'll probably move the power head a little higher to hide it better. Excuse the back of the tank. It was an algae wall that I will be scraping off when I move into our new house.

Ive always been a fan of planted tanks whether they are artificial or live. I personally love the tank and your cat! :D. I miss my cat. When he was alive he used to sit in front of my tank and watch my fish swim around and randomly hit the glass. He was declawed so no damage was done. But I miss that.

Thanks guys! It's a 55 gallon. Should've said that in the original post. I appreciate the compliments. The cats and dog love the tank.

I actually like the algae wall. I tried for almost a year to get a mat going like that on my tank without success.

Thanks! It took awhile to get it like that. It got a bit out of control two weeks ago so I had to cut down the hours of light, but I might let it grow back in.

Thanks for moving the thread for me!
