I just saved this convict from it's previous owner. They didn't do anything wrong it was in my sisters tank and it was her first tank so she thought nothing of the fish just hiding all the time. The real issue here tho isn't how it happened but getting this guy back on his fins. I'd really like some input on how well you think he will heal up and what I can do to help him heal as best as possible. He looks really bad but he can swim and he is eating. Also he is in a tank with just him and a 1" high fin pleco so no fear of any more aggression against him.2012-04-18 14.00.47.jpg

Thank-you I've never had this issue before I seem to be very lucky on fish aggression how well will the fins grow back? also you can't tell in the pics but the fins on his sides are nearly gone I can't recall what they are called.

i agree with everyone keep up with the water changes and add either melafix or some salt and he will heal up great

reminds me of Wiley Coyote. he's not giving up just bcuz of totally shredded fins. LOL.

He kinda looks lik Wiley coyote after he gets blown up by something.
