Rescue Convict

I was in a pet shop looking to buy food for my bearded dragon. I noticed movement in a tank with no lights, no filtration, and green water. In it was a large Convict cichlid that was exiled due to aggression. Since there is always a special place in my fish room for a Convict, I brought him home. I'll keep this thread updated with his progress. Here are some pics. I had to buy him a little female to get him out of hiding.

His dorsal is missing a few rays. He was fighting with a black belt. The black belt actually looked worse but I didn't have space for him. Hopefully the dorsal comes back at some point

That's a good looking convict. It never fails every time I go to a lfs I see a big male convict I'd love to rescue for the same reason. Glad he's in a better place!

He's a legwork 5.5 - 6in. I had to rescue him.
