Rescue turtle

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
First off it is a red eared slider. They are a species of semi aquatic turtle which means that they need a place to get fully out of the water and bask under a heat lamp. Also he will need a UVA UVB build to get energy from the sun. Make sure to have 2 times the filtration for the size tank you have it in. Turtles eat almost anything. The best is to feed a pellet diet because of the vitamins in the pellets but also include veggies. I feed my baby's trout worms an they love them. Hope this helps if you have any questions about him just ask.

Looks like RES to me red eared slider. They are best kept in semi aquatic environment with a basking area. Aslo need uvb lighting. They get large cant remember exact size but like 12"+. Far as food i feed my turtles zoo/med pellets and krill with superworms occasionally. Just a worning be careful keeping it with fish they may be attacked or eaten.
