These guys were not in the plan. However, they were beaten pretty bad in their old tank. So, I added them to my extremely non-aggressive tank. (though that may change) They adapted very well and are eating and swimming, mostly upper half. My concern is caring for their fins and tails. I don't want to add ANYTHING to the tank. I am a water change idiot....I do a lot of them. I have always had good success in healing with water changes. Melafix isn't out of the question, but Id rather not add any chemicals. So, here they are....Anything else I need to know in regards to feeding, etc?

Yeah. Not Pink Tail Chalceus. They are a Cyprinid(Probably not spelled correctly. Off the top of my head.) I'm pretty sure. Looks like they have had a rough life in a smallish tank.

Ok, thanks for the corrections. Hoping to fix em up. Would like to get a precise ID. I'll research cyprinids.

Red Finned Cigar Shark...got it!

Yep, cigar sharks. I never heard of a chalceus over about 6". I was kinda excited lol

FYI these guys get big and grow fast. Best of luck getting them back to health.

I have one that I bought on craigs for 5$ that I to thought was a pink chaleus now I cant get rid of it and cannot put it in a big tank with aggressive fish. want another one?
