Rescued fh with sore on head

I got thos big guy for free on cl and he has a big sore on his head. The guy i got him from had him in a bucket and the water was murky so im betting clean water and good params ought to heal him up, what dp you think.

I threw in a 9 watt uv with a small ten gallon pump! Hope i can avoid medication......

Thanks man hes doing great, he ate 4 red worms today finally...the sore on his head i swear to god is about gone!! He still has some fluffy white spots on one fin though, fungal?
