Reseal Job

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would fill it in an area you wouldn't mind getting wet preferably like porch, garage, ect.... And wait at least a week

Cure time for a 1/4" bead of silicone is about a week, it shouldn't see water before that point or it looses it's integrity. What kind of silicone did you use?

Assuming proper curing time and correct silicone used if you are going to see any leaks they should show up pretty quickly.

Depends upon how much confidence you have in your work. I've never had a problem with a tank I resealed, so I fill it up, and if it doesn't leak I use it.

I let mine sit for a week to cure then I filled my 75g and let it sit for another week and dumped the water incase there was any residual chemicals or w/e from the reseal job. Then I added fish.

Been ok 2 or 3 years now. When I got it the bottom seam was blown out from it sittting on a cheap metal stand which warped
