Around.....
Hey i resealed my 70gallon tank after finding a slight leak in it. The silicone seem to be dry. Its been 5ish hours since i applied it. My questions are when can i fill it back up and move the fish in? and when i do fill it back up will the BB in my canister all have died off? i left it full of water to try and salvage some...

THANKS!!!

Whats the tube say like how long does it take to cure. Were are your fish now? I would put your filter were ever your fish are. BB usually start dying in about 12 hours without the filters running.

they are in a rubbermaid tub so i will go move my canister over to the tub... the silicone said 24 hours to set but wait 48 before using... sorry

I'd wait 48 hours then if I was you. It would suck to put the fish back in just to find out it leaks still because you didn't wait long enough. Then you would have to move the fish again and this would stress them more. I would leave them were you have then and put all filters on the tube with the fish running then wait 48 hours then fill it back up and move the fish back. I would also put any ornaments from the tank in with the fish so they feel less stressed and have places to hide etc. Do you have a heater with the fish right now?

i have the 70G heater with my old 20 G heater a Xp3 and a new AC70...the tub is 55G but its about half way full...and i will put some decor in wiht them to d-stress them

Sounds good just make sure you have your heaters sat up to were there not touching the tub or a fish bumping into then won't make it touch the tub because it could melt it. Melting a hole in the tube would not be good. Id also check the temp of the water to to make sure you have the heaters set right and make sure there's water breaking on the surface from the filters to allow oxegen to get in the water and you should be fine.

Oh one other thing I don't know what your stocking is but you might want to try to find something you can try to cover it with incase you have fish who like to jump

rubbermaid top on it lol....not letting any of my little guys out lol...and a towel draped over the edge where the AC70 is... and the heater is on the side but i will put it on the rock asap thanks dude!

alright i'll send ya the link to the new thread when i set it up
