Is there anyone in the Charleston SC area that reseals tanks? My tank sprung a leak and now I'm looking for someone to reseal it for me.

Whay not you DIY. it's prety easy work. 55 g is not big... Here we go watch this video_Oonly time consuming thing is to remove old silicone. :) + Big Welcome to MFK (1post)

Like stated not difficult if your handy, and have patience.:) Sealed a 29 and 30 gal first time going on 2 yrs no leaks.:)

if its a small leak you dont have to reseal the whole thing. just drain the tank and silicone the area
thats leaking extending the silicone few inches past the leak. did this for most tank that sprung
small leaks and no problem still even after years have passed.

I agree with the others, I've resealed half dozen 50 and 55s, just like sealing a window for a draft, or resealing around a bath tube.
You can use a tube of Lancor RTV if you think the seams are separating (because Ibelieve it has more tensile strength, of its just a simple leak, GE1 silcone for window and door (not with fungicide).
