So i have an older 55 gallon tank that sprung a leak on me. I would like to reseal it and have fully taken it apart and cleaned up all the silicon from the glass pieces. the one problem i have is the plastic frame. Since the tank was old the plastic pieces were brittle and broke on me. I live in Menomonie WI, and was wondering if anyone new where i could find replacement pieces for the ones i broke.

I love the Quote for a signature. as fro the plastic frame I have don't know you may be able to talk to a petstore and order one through them thats just a guess. other option it to buy 3 pieces of glass and sylicone them in place on the top of the tank as braces then you won't need the plastic pieces. one on each end and one in the middle.

I like the 3 piece brace idea. It would look cleaner too.

keep me updated.
i have the same problem except my tank is an old 100g with no braces

so i got the tank resealed just made a nice looking set of trim out of some finishing wood got the tank all set up sat on the couch with a beer to observe what i had made to hear a pop and see water start to drip. First thoughts were there is no way a seal blew.sadly after inspection due to an off level stand the bottom sheet of glass broke. So now instead of a nice looking 55 gallon tank the plan is to use the good sheets of glass to make a 200 gallon plywood tank. so heres the plan:

1. FIND A JOB
2. ??????????
3. FINISHED 200 GALLON BUILD
