I am resealing a 55g tank. I cut off all the old silicone and cleaned it up nicely. I resealed the tank this afternoon and when i was using the caulk gun. The silicone came out in gobs, but it looks ok. The silcone reseal doesnt look like the factory seals, but it looks ok. Will the seal hold if it is in this manner, or does it need to look identical to what a factory seal should look like? I know that this sounds confusing, but i am sure someone knows what i am saying.
thanks

Pics are always helpful,
I have resealed a few, looked almost as good as factory.
Did you do one constant bead alround the tank?
Meaning, did you reseal the tank bottom & sides all at one time with no curing time in between?
If so,& there are no gaps it SHOULD be good.
