iam looking to buy a 400g tank used price is good but the seams have bubbles running along them
the tank doesnt leak but i was told by the seller that it probably needs to be resealed
anybody ever had this done or done yourself if so how much did it cost
thanks

nick just resealed a tank
pm him

strip all silocone out the tank new and old dont bond together. Wipe it clean with some acetone re seal with new aquarium safe silocone

if i cut out the silicone and reapply a bead over the seam
will this do anything more than prevent leaks

what iam asking is will this help with seam strength
from the looks of the seams iam more worried about a blowout

I doubt resealing a tank will give support to hold the tank together unless your doing 1 inch strips of silicone for the seals.

I wish you luck with your project because 400g. is an awful lot of water. :)
