Woke up to find my Oscar of 8 years had passed away, RIP Oscar!!

Well he weighed 3.5 lbs and was around 15" long, possibly HITH but I am not sure. He was always healthy and hearty but I noticed pits on his head getting worse this year and he just stopped eating for the last week or so. We'll miss him.

Wow he was a big boy. Sorry for the loss. It's tough losing a fish you've had so long and watched grow up.

well..HITH would not have killed him..sounds like you were noticing it early..unless what you saw where the normal face pits

8 Years old is very lengthly compared to the average oscar which lasts for a few years. But 15" is huge!
