Well, my jardini is doing good, even with the outbreak of ich in my tank "which is being cured ASAP" so far doesnt look like hes been infected, hes eating good, snapped up a feeder, and some krill, and swims around a lot... but sometimes he just lays on the bottom for 5-10 minutes... is this bad? what does it mean? im completely new to aros

Probably suffering from the ich. This may weaken his immune system thus causing him to 'fall' to the bottom. Younger and smaller specimens are much more fragile when there are disease outbreaks.

You would get more hits if this was in the Arowana section.

How long have you had him? Arows lay on the bottom when they're stressed out. My silver, though eating good and everything, lays on the bottom sometimes but we've only had him a month and they're very skittish and he's still settling in. The more he gets comfortable in the tank the less and less he goes to the bottom.

I'm new to arows too, but if you start reading threads in the arowana section you'll find a lot of posts on this subject.
