So I have a 100 gallon tank that is 42lx27hx24w. I want to restock my tank so here is my idea
1. niger triggerk
2. blue spot toby, or stars and stripes, which would get along better?
3. a free swimming grouper, which grouper comes out and swims alot i dont want one that hides alot
4. any other suggestions? I don't really want an eel or lionfish.

Your tank is a good size tank but because it isn't even four feet long I would avoid a niger trigger and go with a smaller triggerfish....like a bluejaw triggerfish which reaches only nine inches as opposed to 20 inches. All triggers are active swimmers. As for your puffers I would go with the toby as the stars and stripes reaches twenty inches as well. As for groupers the v-tail and the spotted groupers are your best choices. However, both might get large enough to eat your toby and these groupers are small groupers at about ten inches. Instead of a puffer you might want to go with a medium size angelfish, wrasse or tang such as a yellow, purple or yellow eye.
