i have looked over all the list and even found the places to get the information for a permit . but i wanted to know if any one has had any success with a permit in a privet collation in California

I think this has been asked here before, and the conculsion was that basically unless you are a zoo / scientist / university or some degree of of a researcher then you may have a chance of getting one...

For the private aquarist its said to be fairly hard to nigh impossible to get...

Although that info is going from what i've read here a while ago, so maybe wait for someone with past experience to chime in..,

thank you but i just read the damn thing and in quick summery its not grounds for a permit all the fish on the CA list as Detrimental i can get a alligator or some thing guess they are not as invasive lol just need a 25 cubic foot aquarium

The permit requirements are biased towards institutions since the containment facility must be inspected and meet minimum government husbandry requirements. The reason for keeping the restricted species also has to be something other than 'pet' (as far as fish species are concerned).

not happening to any private hobbyist. if it does you better go get a lottery ticket
cause you're that lucky! actually you have more chance of winning some cash from
a lottery ticket than getting a permit lol

yea from what i have read i basically got to be the king of pop and have a time machine for a pet ray here in ca

Dasyatis and Himantura are OK in CA. It's all Potamotrigonidae that the focus is on in CA law.

i dont think many ppl in ca know about the whiprays if they do they must think its salt lol
not commonly kept far as i know lol
