Resuce this oscar (free) - SF Bay Area

A client bought 3 small oscars some time ago and put them in a small tank. Flash foward to now and 2 have died and one is left in very poor conditions. He knows it is too large and has agreed to give the fish away to a better tank. I only have a 5g so it won't be much better in mine. Please help me find this guy a new home. He's about 6-8 inches and a beautiful black with gold scales.

because some of us eats their fish when it dies but we sure wouldnt eat cats/dogs

They are in the UK.

Tank looks clean, I've seen worse... Someone must have room locally even if it's a stop gap before a permanent home can be found...

At least he isn't covered with HITH. I've seen that so many times with oscars dropped off at the pet store.

For some reason I always see oscars that are large with hith

Cause they are waste monsters that require a lot of water changes hehe. A lot of people don't seem to want to do them.

Some species are a lot more susceptible to hole in the head though. Oscars are one of them.

In an appropriate sized and stocked tank they are easy to look after with normal wc's... That's why smaller suggested tanks are a no go Imo.
