So as you may know I bought a retic in May last year.. Everything went perfect, had him in a 200 gallon. Eating well.
Then came the time of selling off the tank and had to move him into my 75 gallon. For some reason he stopped eating, I tried everything from blood worms to shrimp, pellets. Just watched him dwindle away until he passed.

When I setup my new larger tank, I would like to raise another retic, anyone have any advice? I believe they are wild caught at the shop and many are in rough shape.
Any medication to recommended? Or should I just give up on retics and go for some other easier rays?

Rest in peace STINGY :(

If your only goal is to prevent a similar scenario I would go for cb pups. Cb retics seem a bit harder to find.

There is speed on about 45 minutes away that breeds hystrix X black diamonds... $200 per pup. Better to buy a cb over a $120 wc retic?

Do you know any where to get a retic currently mine tank crashed about 6 months ago and I lost my retic and everything seems fixed now but I have been unable to find anyone Tharp sale retic currently

Hystrix x BD sounds cool, and 200 is a very fair price. If you don't mind hybrids and have the space I'd definitel take it over wc retic.

It's a pretty good price for rays here.. His next litter of pups will be in like 5 months so I've got some time to get ready
