My two retics have been thriving for the last month/6 weeks, I've been constantly vigilant about water changes, and feed multiple times per day. Lately, however, I've been worried because the lighter of the two retics just doesn't seem to be gaining any weight. He eats just as much, if not more, than the other one, and is almost always first to the food. Immediately after eating they will both show quite clearly that they are fat and full. Not only are their backs noticeably larger, their underbelly's protrude a bit too. My concern is that just a few hours after eating, the lighter ray will look like it hadn't eaten at all, while the other still looks big. Not only that, but it hasn't put on any considerable size/weight in the time I've had it. It certainly isn't losing weight, but it just looks like it doesn't get fed enough, when it clearly does. Is this likely to be an internal parasite problem? What are my options for treatment if so? Or am I just overreacting? Thanks,

Sure sounds like it, although I have no exp. with rays - but yeah, sounds like parasites.

I have been keeping my retics for almost a year and believe me I think it is completly normal. Stingrays will eat a whole bunch of food and look like they are going to explode and then the next hour are ready to eat again. Your ray could just have a fast motabolism. Dont be worried, also how long have you had your rays?

And I dont want to sound rude but I have never heard of using garlic with rays. All I now is they like meaty foods and garlic might not be very good for them, so I suggest not even risking trying to feed your ray garlic.
