I picked up a new fish that was labeled as an African Arowana. I tried to do some research on it and realized that its not an African Arowana. It has the head of a African Arowana but the body of a Clown Knife with light brown markings similar to a Royal Clown Knife. I came across a picture of a Reticulate Knife Fish and that's exactly what it looks like. Does anyone here on this site have any experience with one of these unique fish? Are they rare? I've read that they can grow to 32" and become rather aggressive with age. I have an 12-13" BGK, will i have problems housing it with my new Knife Fish? My Reticulate is only 4" now. My BGK seems to have grown an inch and thicker since moving him into my 430 gal aquarium in December of 2012. What do you all think? Will my 430 gal be enough for both?
