First post! I currently have a 450lt tank with a 5x2 footprint. It currently has a reticulated stingray, raised from about 3 inches with hip bones poking through, Along with a few smaller oddballs.
I would currently estimate her disc size to be 12 inches and 3 years old, very healthy and wormed, will eat prawns and earthworms... I am fully aware of her required tank size and i now know i cannot give her the footprint she needs due to ever growing work demands.

The tricky part is i am looking to re-home free of charge rather then sell or give to a local fish shop to someone who can honestly prove they can provide the ride environment long term. This will need proof or she will not be leaving!

First question is are there any UK based ray keepers (midlands) that would be interested and if not how can i go about making sure she has a decent tank to live out her days!?

I'm in the US with a 6x2 footprint, so I cannot help. However, I commend you on making sure your ray gets into a tank he needs. Good luck with rehoming him!

Maybe try something like a local craigslist ad or even placing a Thread up in the market place on MFK, stating you have a free ray up for grabs to a good home...

Thank you guys,
Are there may brown ray keepers over here in the uk?

Check out the ray sub-forum, almost sure i've seen UK ray keepers around...

Trying to pm you but won't let me for some reason.
I'm in the West Midlands and interested if still available.
Pm me if you can to discuss this in more detail.

I could give it a good home if you're not too far from me. I have an 8x2.5Wx2 tank she could live out her days in.

Hopefully the i have worked the quote function properly!

Hi Rowena,
Not sure if you have been able to pm me but nothing received so far.

Many keepers in our area me being one of them . I'd buy a treatment called fluke solve and dose . What's the Ray feeding on ?
