Hey everybody I was doing a lot of research on a reticulated stingray and have been wondering about one cause I couldn't find great information on them but I was considering finding a Male to put in a 125gal tank. I read that the tank should be 7 foot by 32inches I think and I found a 7foot thank that i think is 26inchies wide so let me know what you think

Alot of retics that are sold under that name are misclassified but back to the question, if you think of a fully grown retic in a 26" wide aquarium it won't have much room for turning. I know they use vertical space as well but it's still a tight squeeze turning tail and all.

My rays are still small and I have them in a 180. I would not recommend anything less than 250 long term- for a true retic that is. Almost any other ray gets much bigger. I have a hard time keeping up with the maintenance. It’s a daily thing with this size of tank. I can’t imagine long term even in this tank, little lone a smaller tank.
