I picked this guy up today, we rarely get anything other than a del or sen at my lfs so I jump on a bichir if it's a species I can keep long term. I think it's a retro, just wanna be sure. Sorry for the bad quality, don't have a fancy camera to take pictures with. I tried using flash against the glass with my phone.

Looks like a palmas polli.

Need a better pic like HB said but looks like polli.

How about this? If anything I'll try tomorrow I'll have someone help me.20151118_225532.jpg

Also I've had my ornate since early this year around feb-March and my lap since the summer, June or July, and they've not grown much. Whereas my sen, grew from 2-3 inches and skinny, to 8, the ornate is 8 I believe, which means he grew maybe half a inch, and the lap only grew one inch, 8 to 9. There's a big difference in there appetite as well, my Senegal as you can see is fat. The lap, even now with a full belly isn't close, same with the ornate. I know growths can vary, but this doesn't seem normal, everyone grew fine, eats fine and everything, except these two. Could they be stunted from maybe before I got them? Maybe they have a parasite? My Senegal has slowed but that is expected for a Senegal at 8 inches. Idk. I guess I'm worried. Should I get my water tested? I do weekly 30% water changes. I don't think their growth should be this slow. They show interest in food but don't always take it. I feed freeze dried krill, shrimp, massivore, night crawlers, meal worms, and once in a while, like every couple months, I throw in a couple shiners. Should I just try different foods? If so what kinds?

That's a retro with the new pics. Would keep feeding with what u have. It's pretty varied. I would up ur water changes to twice a week atleast. Wait it out and ur other polys should grow.
