So i have a quietone 6000 that has a 1" return. I want to use vinyl tubing for the return piping. Im gonna use a Y fitting as well. My ? is: do i run 1" tube for all 3 parts of the Y or do i run 1" and then split in down to 1/2" or 3/4" tubes to equathe 1" flow? Also would the pump run any more flow if i used 1.25" tube instead of the 1"? thanks

Keep it 1". No need to restrict the flow if you have split it. Any particular reason you want to? I am not sure on the additional flow question from larger plumbing, sorry.

Oversizing the return is unlikely to gain you an increase in flow.
You could split the 1" into two 3/4" with no loss of flow.
size __area
3/4 = .4418.....times two = .8836
1.0 = .7854

I'd stick with the 1" or you could go with the 1.25.. Also why are you adding a Y and making 2 return lines ??
