im planning to add a sump to my 35 im going to be making one of those DIY PVC Overflows, how many gallons per hour return pump do i need? im probably gonna be using 3/4 or 1inch PVC (which one should i use?)

You need as many GPH as required to give an appropriate turn over for your stock, your overflow and your sump design.
