Pricing out a return pump for a wet/dry that will handle up to a 75g tank. Anyone know a good place to look that has decent prices? Or suggestions based on what you've used? Better yet anyone want to sell one they have laying around?

Rio 3100 low power usage and great pump. Or a lesser end model the Rio pumps use very little power overall for savings.

It's nice and only about ten bucks more than the other that was recommended in an AC thread. I've seen people mention putting flow handles (can't remember the right term but I'm talking about the handle operated ball joint for changing flow) on if they need to cut it a bit. The pump would still be running normally though and trying to push 900gph through. Does that creat a problem or no big deal?
Ball valve. You just put it on the outflow side and won't hurt the pump on the intake side and cutting flow off from the pump hurts the pump. My pump had one with it check the package contents.

You need to know what gph your oveflows can handle and what size sump in order to pick your return pump.
Well it will be built around the return pump so I make sure I get the right turnover every hour.
