Hi guys and gals. I just joined the site and looks like this is the place for me to be. I've been in the hobby since my dad bought me my first 10 gallon tank for my elementary school graduation, after that I was hooked. I worked in a pet store at age 16 for a year and I kept tanks in our home till I was 17 then it was off to see the world and all its troubles in the Marine Corps. After doing my 4 yrs stint I returned back home and started my passion again and moved up to a 150 gallon tank where I continued to keep and this successfully breed one of my favorite fish, the oscar. I got married in 2002 sold my 150 gallon and moved to my wife's home state of Wisconsin into a condo. 9 years later I am trying to get back into the hobby that I have loved so much. I just purchased a custom stand and canopy for a 75gallon tank and once the room is finished being prepared I will buy the tank. I want to eventually put a 180 gallon tank :headbang2 on the second floor. Apparently some sort of above floor support structure will have to be built according to the engineering firm I hired to give a structural assessment but that will have to wait since its going to be a custom job and costly even before I get into buying the tank and stand. If anyone has a 150 or larger on their second floor successfully with no issues please pm me or email me and let me know. Gr8pairwi@yahoo.com is my email. I am also open to any ideas of what kind of larger more colorful fish to keep in the 70 gallon, I love breeding fish so that's what i'm trying to do. I thought Jack Dempsy would be a good one to try this time instead of the oscar but I still love them so. If anyone also has a very clean(no scratches inside or out) or new 180 with oak stand and canopy for a reasonable price in the Wisconsin area please let me know.
