Reuse water change water

If you're a gardener, or you have indoor plants too, then old aquarium water is great because it has a % of nitrate in it, which basically is plant food!

Just be aware though, if you grow veg for your own consumption, and you've recently been medicating a tank, then to be on the safe side DO NOT water your veg plants with such water!

Beside the toilet (especially in winter) .
I rigged up a system that would send water directly from my tanks to the vegetable garden.
All I had to do is open a valve, and instead of water heading to the sump, Iit went to the garden

At the time I had about 20 tanks, equalling about 2000 gallons all rigged up to 4 sumps, and do water changes of all 20 tanks, in no time..

Thx guys. Yea i have a few plants but it just a few gallons a week. Toilet seems good idea 2 gallons each time.
To wash the car also I guess

All of the suggestions I had in mind were already said. I keep a few buckets of old tank water to flush toilets with and I use it to water plants. I add extra fertilizers to the water though for indoor plants because if you feed them only with nitrate rich water you will eventuelly end up with stretched out plants, as nitrate mostly only forces growth. Adding in some extra magnesium, possasium and phosphor will really make your indoor plants thrive. You dont have to worry that much about outdoor plants to add extra minerals as they get those naturally (depending how rich your ground is in minerals).
