Tomorrow is the big day, and I am swapping my 20L for a 40B!

I have 3/4 of a 5 gallon bucket filled with creek sand/gravel that I will be cleaning today.

I was planning on putting the gravel that is in my 20L down first to keep the BB I already have, then layering the creek substrate on stop.

Will it hurt anything if I rinse the gravel in tank water to get rid of any leftover grungy stuff? I don't want to kill off my BB and have to start all over.

Thanks!

If the gravel is the same type as the new I would place the old gravel on top of the new gravel after you rinse it some to get rid of the excess dirt and stuff. The other way round can work depending on how much new gravel your putting on top of the old.
