I have a bucket of old sand from my Dad's saltwater aquarium from after we replaced it with some sand that's better for saltwater. It's been sitting outside in this bucket since early January, so all of the bacteria and other life in it should be pretty well dead. My question is can I reuse it for freshwater after I rinse it well?
