I know genetically the fish would be radically different from its wild look-alikes, but has anyone made a fish that looks just like, say a Dovii,or any other wild, natural fish from flowerhorn lineages? Has a hybrid popped up that looked unsettlingly like a real fish? I know about FH that look just like Trimacs, but that makes perfect sense. I mean an unrelated fish made of two other species and/or hybrids.

This idea came from the Auroch project.

Lol it would be difficult... if you did it it would be amazing. Theoretically you could make a texas out of zz's.. that would be the easiest thing to do

That makes no sense, not to be rude, it wouldn't be full Texas but would look similar or the same like said in the op.

I don't think he's saying that you could make a pure bred Texas, but could get a fish that looks like one as suggesed by the OP.

Yeah got confused there, was tired when I wrote that.
There's hybrids that look similar to species all the time but I'm guessing it would be difficult to make a look alike of any species unless it had that species genes in it.
