I've got liquid rock for water where I'm livin now. I'm working on setting up a fish room, and of course I want to eventually try to breed softwater fish. I've never used a RO/DI before. I think I'd like something between 50 and 100 gallons per day. What brands or things should I look for that might be foolproof for a newbie like me?

RO unit is an RO unit, the extra cost comes from the brand and type of filter cartridges/membrane and accessories such as pressure gauges, inline TDS meters, and filter monitors. The rest is just housing and there is nothing special about the housing. The key comes in making sure you have enough water pressure, and you have proper chemicals to re constitute the water after the R/O unit.
