reverse osmosis

is the Kold Ster-il better than osmosis ? is anyone try it . my tap water PH is 7.4 so i just want something caple of clear others sing that go in the water.
i didint by a RO because it waste lots of water.
any help

They are 2 totaly different types of filters. They don't do the same things at all.

RO will give you water that has only 10% of the total begining TDS. Thats why it rejects water. It puriefies it to a degree. Add a DI canister and you will have a TDS of 0. Pure water.

Kold Ster-Il does not do this. It is more along the lines of the Brita type filters. Just polishing the water through micron filters and carbon type devices.

but will this be good for my fish , i just want to get the water coming from the tap into the tank whit no worrys , will it take the cloro and metal
