I have noticed a big change in my main tank. For years I have been feeding my fishes at least twice a day and have noticed that they grew slower than my friends fishes. Well for about 3 months now I have been getting very bussy and I cut the feeding to once daily and the funny thing is that now my fishes are growing very rapdly, and the death rate have lowered.:)

How high was your death rate? Maybe you were feeding to much at a time. The best way to get fish to grow fast is to feed small portions several times a day.

too much food fouls up the water, causing excessive nitrates, causing diseases, stunted growth, etc.., causing death. may not of been what was happening to you but sounds like it.
