
Back in Apri, at the end of the dry season, a lot of riverine fish were concentrating, in the Rio Lotes
Characins, Cichlids, Catfish, Gobies, and Ctenolucius were all congregating in what seemed to me a very limited space.

We netted 3 Ctenolucius, before the rains hit.
But only one has survived. I get the feeling my 180 was only enough space for one, of this species too comfortably share.
It has remained about 12" long, now in the tannin infused conditions brought about by the daily water changes that inundate the from nightly rains.
