Just wondering if anyone knows what species of Rhamphochromis these are and how big they should get. It’s a male and female that I bought just as Rhamphochromis. The seller said 8-10” but from what I’m reading, it could be from 12-15” depending on type, which I’m kind of hoping for

They are either longiceps or macrophthalmus. They don't look like esox or woodi. I could be wrong though. I had one about 8" either a longiceps or macrophthalmus. I raised him when he was about 3" but didn't seem to grow more than 8". He was a cool fish more peaceful than aggressive. Good find on those. They are fairly hard to find.

Thank you!
These guys are very peaceful as well. They were about 5 and 6 inches when I got them and they’ve grown about 1.5”. They’re voracious but don’t bother the polys at all

How do you think the Rhamphochromis would do with other haps n peacocks? I’m asking because the Rhamphochromis are in a 120 with some bichirs but I’m having a large tank built and I’m moving the bichirs to that and moving my haps/peacocks into the 120. I have various Aulonocara, placidochromis, protomelas, mylochromis and lethrinops as well one Xmas fulu and a mbamba mbuna. I’m not sure yet whether I’m keeping the Rhamphochromis in the 120 or moving them to the big tank with the bichirs. Any advice or input is appreciated

They will do fine with haps and peacocks. They are not that aggressive but my other haps and cichlids that were in there didn't really bother them much. Your selection of haps should be fine.
