Hey,
friday some fish from Czech will arrive.
Well I just planned to order 3 more Delhezis but couldn't help myself and ordered a mysterious "Rhamphythys sp." which has been available in the shop for almost a year now.
I guess they weren't selling many of these since Rhamphychthys tend to be large fish and with a price of 30 bucks each AND not knowing which exact species you'll get.

The one I will get should be 25 to 40cm long.
Since it doesn't have a big mouth it won't eat any of the fish it will be housed with.

Here's a picture of the website:

My guess would be Rhamphychthys rostratus!

Hey,
you are right R.marmoratus could be possible as well!
As far as I know they are peaceful fish, a little shy as well und the full size should be somewhere between 35 and 55cm.

I really hope I'll get a specimen that's used to eat dead food.

Hey,
I've got it!
It is a foot long but pretty thin.
Not starving but I guess in the tanks at the shop it hasn't been a dominant specimen.

Till now it's just laying on the ground and not hiding in any driftwood or clay tube.
But it is already eating which is a good sign!

Picture are pretty hard to take since it is in a 50gal quarantine/security tank.

Well it didn't survive the first days.
The specimen was thin as i wrote before.
Seems like I was wrong with the sentence "not starving" .
It wouldn't eat enough, became weak and died in the quarantine tank.
