I am looking to purchase one of these, but I am having a problem figuring out what they look like.

I tried google and they have pictures of all the complicated devices. Now I will no doubt be getting it from the home depot, does anyone have a picture of the ones they sell their so I know what to look for next time I go.

Thanks

Ok thanks. Maybe its a thermostat I want? I need something to regulate the heat of my heating pads, so the don't over heat and burn the snake.

both do the same, some thermostats have too much wattage capacity so it would be overkill for a heat pad. A rheostat would be fine or a smaller capacity thermo would work well also.

Home depot ,Lowes, etc carries them as lamp dimmers.

I have used them for yrs .
I find the reg reptile rheo to be bit better because you can lower the temp more and reptile rheos can handle greater watts which for most people me included its way over kill thus not an issue.

For a snake UTH or bulbs lamp dimmers work well but again you cant lower temp as low as you can with reptile rheos.
The lamp dimmer does have tiny pin head red light which lets you know its working which is nice.

I have never used either with thermostat. I just set them at warm setting and after awhile you know the setting your snakes like and just keep them that way.

Alright, i will look for lamp dimmers and simply place a therometer over the pad to get the reading I want, then adjust it to get it perfect.

Alright, awsome, I will get them.
