Rhom attacking filter and lid, nonstop.

I have an 7 inch rhom. Just lately he has started attacking his filter, and the lid on the tank. He is hitting these very hard and scraping himself up pretty good. It just suddenly started 2 weeks ago. At first it was just at night, I left the lights on and it stopped, now he does it no matter what, even with me watching him. Any Ideas on what the problem could be?
Water parameters are good.

A buddy of mine said that he had a really aggressive pirahna that ate all the others in the tank and would constantly attack the lid and lights and even got out of tank. He said that's how it actually died, he found it out of tank with lid off.
Does it act aggressively towards other fish? Or is it in tank by itself?

oh wow, i see i haven't been missing too much while i've been ignoring the piranha section. he has a rhom bro, that means....it has to be kept solo, way different then your friends situation
