Give him time.....

Give him time.....
agreed, plus dont be surprised if you dont see it eat, some take along time before they're comfortable eating infront of you

He won't eat in front of you? Or he won't eat at all?

Did you just buy him recently?

Details?

Like they said above, time is of the essence.

I picked up my Rhom about 6 weeks ago, and he won't eat in front of me yet...my guy is bigger (10") but still quite shy. I feed mine feeders that i'm raising, and chunks of tilapia. I've never seem him eat, but by morning it's clear that he has.

I've had mine for 6 months atleast and since I've had him he ate in front of me ever time I throw food in there its still there the next day sadly last night his tank sprung a leek I had to set him in a 10 gallon moving him to a 35 tomorrow then a 55 in a week or to

Is the tank cycled? Ammonia/nitrites will make fish sick and lead to appetite loss and all sorts of bad things. after making certain water parameters are straight try no food for a few days and offer chunks of raw shrimp or pellets.

A hungry fish will eat when acclimatization is complete, make sure your lighting is NOT blindingly bright and temps are 78-82°
