Lately I have been noticing these weird brown "egg sacs" in my refugium, and today I finally found out what's making them. Towards the end when I pan to the right you can see one of the older cocoons....

It's pretty blurry, but I had to use my phone. I found some much better vids on youtube, here's a really good one...

Just thought this was kinda neat, hope you enjoy!

Hey Fisher great videos bro. i was wondering what do they feed on in the aquarium? if i had a alot of breeding snails in the aquarium could that sustain them? it would be interesting to have one in the my tank to eat insect larva etc. even snails. and lay cocoons for my fish to eat the young. would a crayfish do much hard to them or vice versa

Thanks! They are predators and usually eat other inverts. Mine have been living off of my snail population, so it could definitely work. I'm not positive about how it they would work with crays, but I would be more worried about the leeches being harmed.

haha yea i see your concerns crayfish are nasty buggers. i'll have to give it a shot when my tank cycles. i'll see how long they last with my perch haha
