My 45Gal. completely re-done after a Blue Green Algae Bacteria outbreak...I had to trim down most of my plants. Still needs A LOT of work, but I just wanted to share my progress with you guys.

Thanks! I'm just hoping the Blue Green Algae Bacteria doesn't come back. How tall would you let the Riccia grow? About an inch or so?

I took care of it for a whlie, then after a few weeks of neglect it got out of control. Then pretty soon it was a floating mass of green. But when I did trim, I kept it at about an 1" to 2" inches.

I definitely know what you mean about it getting out of control. I have another Riccia carpet in my 30gal. and I let that one go, and it started to brown a little near the bottom where it's attached to the mesh screen. I'm definitely going to try to stay on top of the trimming on this one. Thanks for the info!

Thanks! The lighting is approx. 2 watts/gal. and I have a DIY CO2 system in this tank.
