My 45Gal. completely re-done after a Blue Green Algae Bacteria outbreak...I had to trim down most of my plants. Still needs A LOT of work, but I just wanted to share my progress with you guys.

I took care of it for a whlie, then after a few weeks of neglect it got out of control. Then pretty soon it was a floating mass of green. But when I did trim, I kept it at about an 1" to 2" inches.

I definitely know what you mean about it getting out of control. I have another Riccia carpet in my 30gal. and I let that one go, and it started to brown a little near the bottom where it's attached to the mesh screen. I'm definitely going to try to stay on top of the trimming on this one. Thanks for the info! :)
 
That's very nice! Any special requirements for those plants?
