Ridiculous high price of some peacocks!

Has anyone paid the extremely high prices some vendors charge for certain strains of Peacock bass? I've seen a single fish listed for $300 plus $65 to ship it. Just wondering if anyone actually buys these fish. Some are just juveniles to boot.

Most ive spent was a $200 scam. :D
 
Supply and demand. If you get 100 of something, you can sell it at a lower price. If you only get 10, you're gonna charge more because you know it's gonna sell. Rays are a bit different. They 're are a decent amount to be had but you pay for quality. Some, if not most, ray keepers, spend the high dollar amount in the hopes that the rays will breed and they can recoup some of that investment.
